Capture IR codes

If you cannot find your device or some of its functions in this database, you can capture the code yourself. In this case, please send us the information you have captured.

Use this Arduino sketch to inspect infrared signals using a TSOP, or this if you would like to use an infrared LED as the receiver instead. This arduino sketch outputs timings which you can enter here:

In the future, you will find here more instructions on how to get codes using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or a phototransistor hooked to the sound card.

We might offer inexpensive (sub 20 EUR) starter kits that contain all the required hardware to capture infrared codes from your computer over USB. We would like to hear from you if you would be interested in a kit, so please drop us a note.
